Internships 2021-2022

Turning Tables is seeking 5 interns to assist with marketing, development, public relations, production, and executive tasks.  These positions are intended to allow interns to assist in the development of Turning Tables and to contribute to extending our mission, while gaining experience in the non-profit sector.

Our internship program is available to college, and graduate students. Applicants with dance background and previous experience are preferred.

Executive Assistant

This position is responsible for assisting the Executive Director. This intern will be exposed to all facets of the organization through this unique internship and have the opportunity to collaborate with many departments


Public Relations

We are looking for a dedicated, highly motivated individual who wants to gain experience working in an non-profit arts organization, and learn the ins and outs of marketing and communication strategies and implementation to join our organization. In this role, you will be working closely with Executive Director Camryn Stafford, assisting with the writing of media releases, scheduling PR events, conducting research, and much more. You will also be working closely with interns from other departments to determine their PR needs.



The Development Intern will work jointly in grant writing and donor relations, gaining experience working for a small non-profit organization, while learning more about fundraising and development strategies. The main responsibilities is developing and administering the Individual Giving program – tracking gifts, sending donor thank yous, creating special programs for upper level donors, fulfilling donor level benefits, completing grant applications, and tracking fulfillments for grants



We are looking for a motivated, responsible, and personable intern. The position will provide support to Turning Tables in implementing the organization’s marketing efforts, largely geared toward summer initiatives. The intern will gain knowledge in marketing and social media for a small dance non-profit organization in all pillars of our organization, including outreach, scholarship, and performance.


Videography and Production

We are looking for a videography and production intern to assist in filming and editing Turning Tables’ initiatives, including the production of a dance film, footage from the summer intensive, and working throughout the summer on a Turning Tables documentary film. The intern should be able to propose videography and production ideas that would help elevate the brand.
